I’m not one to boldly self-promote but after years of brides approaching me with, “I wish I would of…” I thought I’d share to help with your planning. In a saturated market of wedding Photographers, you may wonder what sets me apart? I mean right off the bat, you can see my work, love my style and feel confident by my 5 star reviews.
However, I’m much more than someone that will just take your pretty pictures. I treat your wedding as if it were my own and your people as my people. My desire is to go beyond your expectations, with a nonstop, never miss a moment passion.
I offer love and support as a friend. If you can’t find your mom, I’m searching for the venue for you. If you need something to drink, I’m running to get you that water bottle. As a woman who grew up in a house full of sisters, I get it. If you need wedding ideas, I’m there. You’ll need someone who is flexible and can help ease the stresses of a timeline filled day. After all, this day means the world to you.
THE BEST! Leah is a rare gift. You not only get a Photographer but a friend! She even helped us on our wedding day put together our diy favors, decorate and was my right hand gal…” – Jenn + Jim married 2017
Working in the wedding industry for over 7 years has been a dream come true. Before stepping into my passion as a full-time wedding and portrait Photographer, I spent years in the corporate world. I believe no time is wasted, even when doing work that just paid the bills. That corporate experience and earning my computer and business degree, has really helped in different aspects of my photography career.
ONE FOR THE BOOKS
I’m reminded of the craziness during a Hurricane Matthew wedding in 2016. I felt really bad for the sweet couple. Here at their gorgeous venue but sheets of rain and the category 5 storm, kept us from stepping outdoors. Everyone was damp, and get this…there was a blackout. Instead of acting in panic, I calmed the bride and worked the best I could. I even had them step out when the weather calmed a bit with an umbrella and rain boots for cute couple shots.
When I sat down during the reception with the rest of the wedding vendors at our table, I greeted everyone. As I was introducing myself, the wedding Planner jumps to excitement. “I have never seen a Photographer work a wedding like you! If you can do this good in a hurricane then I want you for my wedding!”
There are other similar stories and it really confirms that I’m doing exactly what I’m supposed to be doing. Truly, I feel so honored and am forever grateful by every bride that chooses me. I will continue to work just as hard for you.
Leah beautifully captures the emotions behind each photo, and makes sure to get the sweetest, secret moments that we’ll treasure forever. Our wedding morning was pretty hectic (what wedding morning isn’t lol) and we were about an hour behind schedule for photos due to the craziness, but Leah was a rockstar and was so flexible and understanding.” – Josie + Dylan married 2019
