CALIFORNIA EQUESTRIAN SESSIONS

I have always loved horses! Since I was a teenager going to visit my neighbors horse stables to ride after school and horseback camp. I have such fond childhood memories of horseback riding in California, Colorado and beyond. So when my sister in law, owner of Five Star Equestrian contacted me, I was all in!

A little about Five Star Equestrian. Located in the beautiful hills of East Bay’s Alameda County, the riding school offers classes for the beginner rider to the professional horsemen. Clients learn through hands on experiences, videos, demonstrations, clinics and consistent work. They develop an understanding of why they focus on various tasks and develop clients who can identify the needs of different mounts.

Developing confidence in both clients and horses yields a partnership that guarantees lifelong success in whatever discipline or direction our clients choose to go. They customize each program to meet the needs of the individual and his/her horse, as not each person or horse has the same goals or development needs. They keep the goals of our clients at the core of our mission, which is to develop Equestrians who respect their horses first, facing challenges with patience and understanding.

Photographing at the scenic Garrod Farm Stables and Rancho De Los Amigos was such a wonderful time. This beautiful spring day offered colorful flowers, blue skies and happy feet. Nine young riders and their horses spiffed up for a day of photo session fun. These riders have a special bond with their horse such as a family member.  The uniqueness of each rider and the love for their stallion made for such a fun afternoon full of variety. I look forward to next season. Ride on!
